David Sylvian’s Secrets of the Beehive was easily one of my favorite albums as a teenager. Maria, a mournful wisp of a song, called out to be remixed, and I was just finding my feet as an audio editor. So why not?
Using samples from John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness (which came out the same year as Beehive), I went for it. The resulting remix turned out surprisingly well.
