Ignoring the irony, I asked an AI bot what independent musicians can do to survive in an AI-saturated music world. The exchange was pretty goddamn spot on.
One of my only professional releases ever, from way back in 2003. Vinyl only, probably just a few hundred ever made. And hey—it even has a discogs page!
This was my first solo release after leaving the Cosmic Flux Music label in 2004. It was 100% built as a demo for Naked Music Records, which unfortunately had just turned away from soulful house and was not interested.
On the positive side, it marked the pinnacle of my powers as an EDM artist. Other than a small handful of other tracks, this was the best I ever got at dance music. Two years later all my gear got ripped off and I made the switch to dark ambient, and I had to start all over at the bottom of the learning curve again. But what a ride!
