Back in the studio working on new material for my synthwave project Perfect Female Type! This one’s inspired by video game music from the early 90s. I’m using more PCM synths like the Korg M1.

I’m very new to performing my own vocals. Feels good to stretch a new muscle.

I’ve only been recording as Perfect Female Type for a few short months, but it’s already taken over my life. I joined forces with the mighty electronic music label Record Club for the release and collaborated with the hugely talented vocalist Diana Inez.

Mixtape Alert: Class of ’93 – Artificial Skies

So far the Class of ‘93 mixtape series has payed homage to those early rave genres we all know and love: hardcore breakbeat, techno, trance, jungle, acid. This time the focus shifts to ambient, a genre that enjoyed a brief spotlight in the early ’90s, both in and out of the rave scene, and easily deserves a mixtape of its own.
