This mixtape is my love letter to psychological horror; to every abandoned asylum, possessed surgeon, and blood-splattered nurse to haunt the big screen.
For this journey to insanity, I took inspiration from modern psychological horror, dada, and early industrial / experimental music. I really tried to turn the sick factor up to eleven. If you aren’t inspired to vomit at least once, then I’ve failed on all counts.
(Some of these songs are available in standalone version for free on my Bandcamp page.)

Huge thanks to the following musicians and filmmakers for their unwitting help. These artists appeared on the mix in one form or another (no contribution is too small), but in the interest of space they were not acknowledged on the track list. Most of the sounds from the artists below were used in audio collage crash-ups under my project pseudonym The Silly Doctor. This mixtape wouldn’t even be one tenth as cool without these stellar (and again, completely unwitting) contributors.
A very special thanks to the sound crew that worked on the 1999 House On Haunted Hill remake. The music from the saturation chamber sequence played backwards forms the backbone of the opening track, and sets the mood beautifully.
As always, thank you dafont.com for the cover art font, and TwistedWave for the bonkers sound effects and audio editing tools.
