Music Alert: Orbr – Turquoise Rush

I’m thrilled to announce that Turquoise Rush, the latest single of my drum & bass project Orbr, is out today!

Turquoise Rush showcases Orbr’s dive into the deeper side of drum and bass. On the horizon: furious vintage breaks, pulsating analogue bass drops, twinkling pads, a breathtaking African choir, and lush underwater FX make for a unique and unforgettable coastal jungle experience. Includes an absolutely gorgeous 80s club mix and a bonus free ambient mix.

Turquoise Rush is available everywhere fine music is sold. You can also hear it on Orbr’s Bandcamp, YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud channels, and of course you can stream or download any Orbr song at orbrsounds.com!

Music Alert: Orbr – Drunken Noodles

I’m thrilled to announce that Drunken Noodles, the latest single of my drum & bass project Orbr, is out today!

On the menu tonight: wavy analog pads, tinkling bells, barely-controlled growlers, chonky kits, world instruments, and space-age FX weave and hustle throughout Orbr’s high-octane summer slammer Drunken Noodles, a dense and complex liquid joint with distinctly international flavorings and more than a few rough edges. Once again Orbr kicks across subgenres and offers the listener a fresher-than-fresh take on the drum & bass experience. Come get a bellyful!

Drunken Noodles is available everywhere fine music is sold. You can also hear it on Orbr’s Bandcamp, YouTube, Spotify, and SoundCloud channels, and of course you can stream or download any Orbr song at orbrsounds.com!

Music Alert: Orbr – Categories

Orbr’s new single Categories is out today!

Vacillating between atmospheric jazz and manic breaks, Categories takes the pieces apart and puts them back together in unexpected ways.

Wind instruments and electric pianos collide with growling analog basslines, pitched-up vocals dodge sizzling vintage drum kits, a live band hijacks the breakdown, all while the Duke asks us: why does it have to have a category?

Categories is available everywhere fine music is sold. You can also hear it on Orbr’s Bandcamp, YouTube, and SoundCloud channels, and of course you can stream or download any Orbr song at orbrsounds.com!

Music Alert: Orbr – Courchevel Mafia

Drop your bags at the luxury suite and hit the clubs for Orbr’s new melodic jungle banger Courchevel Mafia!

90s club organ hits? Check. Wobbly 808s? Check. Shimmering FM electric pianos? Check. Time-streched breaks? Check. You just got upgraded!

Courchevel Mafia is available everywhere fine music is sold. You can also hear it on Orbr’s Bandcamp, YouTube, and SoundCloud channels, and of course you can stream or download any Orbr song at orbrsounds.com.

Feel the jungle elevation revelation!

Welcome to part two of Hardcore Math User’s liquid funk history lesson!

Picking up where Faze One left off, Faze Two ups the tempo and brings a stronger funk aesthetic to the table while maintaining that shimmering watery vibe perfected by late ’90s melodic drum & bass.

Mixtape Alert: Birth of Liquid (Faze One)

It’s early summer, the perfect time of year for melodic drum & bass!

As always, there’s a bit of a history lesson. Liquid funk came of age around 2004, but the birth cries could be heard as far back as the early ’90s, with the dawn of drum & bass itself.
